This time press the plunger down while holding the syringe, and lock it in place as far down as possible. Leave it for about 20 minutes, giving it enough time to force the resin completely into the crack.

Once the time has passed, take the syringe out and use the razor that comes in the auto glass repair kit to cut the pedestal and adhesive off the glass. Make sure that you catch the resin that will drip down as you take the pedestal off, whether with paper towels or a rag.

Move your car into a sunny area, and place a few more drops of the resin into the middle of the crack. Adhere the strip of plastic from the auto glass repair kit to the wet resin, use the razor to remove any air bubbles, and smooth the resin until it is even with the windshield surface.

After letting the plastic sit for 15 minutes in the sun, take it off and use glass cleaner to ensure that your windshield is clean.
