auto removal for money
2002 Ford Explorer oil filter removal?

I'm having a tough time trying to remove this oil filter off a 2002 ford explorer eddie bauer...The area is too closed in for me to stick a screwdriver in and lever it....I don't have the money to buy a filter wrench...And the damn filter is underneath the driver side of the vehicle...

...I've took the tire off from the driver side, and I barely have any room to do anything in that area.....

I was wondering, could I put new oil in and keep the old filter on for just a couple of days, and take it to a shop and have auto workers change the filter....Or would this cause problems????

well you could do that but then they are going to want to drain the oil again. if i was you i would try accessing it from underneath and if you still can not get at it. just do the oil change and leave the oil filter this time. it is not going to screw anything up or harm your vehicle. just make sure you get it on the next oil change.
