My auto updates work but the installation fails??
I have Windows XP SP3 and i can find updates then after i install them it says that all of my updates failed to install?
It states
Some updates were not installed
the following updates were not installed:
Security Update for Windows XP with Windows Media Format Runtime 9.5 and 11 (KB941569)
Windows Internet Explorer 7 for Windows XP
Windows Malicious Software Removal Tool - May 2008 (KB890830)
Update for Windows XP (KB942763)
And it doesn't matter what update it is it never updated after i put SP3 on. So im thinking maybe it has a problem with Service Pack 3. Anyhow anything i can try to due to get my updates to install? Thanks
Well my pc is custom i built it, Asus motherboard Amd dual core athlon, and so on, that its not the point. Exactly i think the SP3 is acting up, i heard once installed you cannot even erace Internet Explorer 7, anyhow im using Windows XP Pro, i just need to learn how to revert back to SP2 maybe.
You didn,t say which kind of computor you are using but xp sp3 caused alot of problems with some computors I think hp comps running the atholn or amd chip you might want to check the microsoft website for details, also check to see if your firewall is blocking the updates from downloading
