Help! my computer had a virus called Trojan.Brisv.A!inf?
My Norton Auto protect is detecting it but says I have to remove the virus manually. I downloaded a removal tool from the Symantec website but it won't run because I get a message saying I am not authorised and need to contact my network administrator.
Would this be my internet provider? I am guessing they would not be much help. Is there an easier way round this?
Help appreciated very much! I'm using Windows Vista
Oh and it's just a normal laptop, not connected to any other computer.
Thanks, I found the tool I had saved and right clicked on it and it said run as adminisrator. It scanned my computer which has took over an hour but it came up with "trojan,Brisv.A not found on computer"
hmm I'll have a look tomorrow and see if I can sort it out. I might have got rid of it!
