when asking for a pay rise, how much (UK)?
how much do you think is an acceptable ammount to ask for ?
ive been working for a company for over 2 years now and have not had any pay rises, they have given me a company car and pay for my fuel, i earn 24k a year and would like to ask for a 3k payrise, is this to much? i have alot more responsabilitys now and work hard i feel they would be stuck without me, but not sure if this is to much to ask for? i want to buy a house and really need this exra cash to afford it, should i say i will have to leave to find a better paid job if they cant afford to pay me more?
would you be able to get more money doing a similar role in another company..... this is the question.
make sure before you ask that you're in the company good books
ask for three but they'll probably bargain you down to 1.5-2k
