Ideas on what to do?
I live in NYC and I’m looking for ideas on what to do on the weekends with my daughter during the summer. We would like to travel outside of NYC. I do not have a car but we have plenty of public transportation at our disposal. I’m looking for ideas that are inexpensive and different than the usual stuff like the beach, movies, etc. Possibly something in NJ, upstate NY, CT or PA. It has to be something we can get to using public transportation. I will not rent a car, so please don’t suggest it.
Would the Bronx Zoo be out of the ordinary?

What about Six Flags in NJ? There are buses going there from Port Authority.
