Has the great retail "Global Warming Tax" started?
I noticed a month or two back that when you got a car tyre changed, the garage charged you 70p ish recycling charge for taking the old tyre.
Today, I bought a strip light and just noticed a 15p (18p inc VAT) charge as a contribution to the recycling and disposal of lamps?
Has this global warming malarky given retailers an excuse to tax us? Looks like it to me.
First off you must be British by the way you spell. Second, it is a bunch of "malarky" that huge business wants to make even more money by more taxing. What they should do to help the world is stop packaging in such rediculous and wasteful packages! HOW ABOUT YOU GUYS START THERE!!!!
