Stolen car recovered 7 years later?
Just got a notice in the mail from San Diego PS that my 1979 Datsun 280Z that was stolen back in November 2003 has been recovered. It's been stripped. I have no interest in the car. What are my rights & responsibilities in terms of fees, disposal, etc?

Did you do a insurance claim when stolen or file police report? I think that matters for whether or not they come after you for fees. You would think no harm no foul that they would just keep it or dispose of it on their own, but....A few years back I had a car stolen in LA that I just said whatever too. 3 years later it was found and towed I guess. I got my taxes withheld from the state for fees, like $300 or so. I knew nothing about it until I filed taxes and on my return it was garnished.
