Is my car capable of towing a cargo trailer?
I am expanding a home business, and I will need to transport some cargo frequently. Before I buy a cargo trailer, I need to know if my car will be able to handle it. I have '94 Ford Fiesta (1.1 gasoline), '98 Volkswagen Polo (1.0 gasoline) and '00 Peugeot 206 (1.9 diesel) at disposal. Will any of these cars be able to handle a trailer loaded with 800 kg of cargo? I would rather use the first or the second vehicle for this.
Please answer only if you know what are you talking about, because I really need to be sure that the car will do.

well maybe this will help. i have a 92 ford escort with a 1.8 and it is rated to tow no more than 1000 "total" pounds. thats everything behind the hitch. you will have to check if any of the vehicles you own can have a hitch installed because many newer cars can not. i have pulled light trailers with my escort with out any problems. mostly motorcycle stuff.
