car is at impound, help O_o?
Well i had a car that i purchased for parts, i had the same type of car as a daily driver, and i took a few parts off this car for the car i drive.
One day i come back and the parts car is missing, turns out it was sent to the local impound yard by the police due to it being registered as a parts car and being parked on a public road.
Now i was planning to scrap the car soon anyways and don't really want the car back.. the impound fees are more then the car is worth anyways close to the 700$ mark, if i just do nothing and leave the car with them what will happen? will they pursue me for the legal fees continuing to add daily car storage fees, or will they auction the car off or what ever after? Im in Montreal Qc, Canada
do i need to call them up and turn the ownership of the car to them? this company is a third party and not government owned, but they have contracts with the police to be their towing service...
