How much would it cost me to scrap a car in Sydney ?
I am new in Sydney (Australia), and i own a 1992 Mitsubishi lancer. I recently had an accident and the car is beyond repair. I think it would be wise to scrap it off. But i hear that i would have to pay for the scrappage too. Can someone tell me how much would it approximately cost me to scrap a car in Sydney. Also please suggest if there are better ways to get rid of a car legally. I really dont wish to pay for getting rid of the car. Please advise. Vheers
firstly go to nearest RTA and complete a form called notice of disposal.surrender your number plates.then look into your local weekly newspaper you will find load of ads who pickup scrap cars and they would pay you around 100 dollars for that too. this is safest and easiest method i know. if you dont want to go to RTA you can download form from RTA website and post it.
