How do I get a snow removal company to admit that they damaged my car with their backhoe?
I found damage to the rear quarter panel after a big snowstorm in a private parking lot and the damage was higher than the bumper on my Volvo...the damage lined up with the height of the plow/backhoe marks in the snow drifts. I called the company and asked them to come look at the damage which happened on X-Mas Eve...I haven't heard back from them since, and I have a $500.00 deductible that I am not interested in paying to get the damage fixed.
Submit a claim in writing and take them to small claims court if they don't take responsibility--no lawyers are allowed and you have file the case yourself.
Edit--since you plan to submit an insurance claim, let your insurance company go after the responsible party. If they are successful, you shouldn't have to pay the deductible. If they fail, you can go after the company yourself in small claims court.
