Removal of tape/tape residue?

About four months ago I had to tape the outside edges of my sunroof because it was raining constantly (I live in Seattle.) and leaking inside my car. Now, the weather is really hot I want to start using the sunroof again. I tried peeling off the tape and it comes off in little tiny sections. And what I did remove has left marks on my paint from where the tape sat so long. Is there an easy way to remove the tape and tape residue from both the paint of my car and the sunroof glass?

I usually get the same residue when I take stickers off of my windshield. I find that a product called GooGone works best. You just spray and wipe, its takes like 5 seconds and its really cheap, like 5 bucks a bottle and can be found in most grocery stores. Here a link.to what it looks like.

. You can also use it on car paint, I tried it on my bmw before. Also just dont use it on fabric unless your going to put it through the wash b/c it makes spots on clothes.
