Car Removal Stereo
October 30th, 2010 by admin

car removal stereo
What does "CD ERROR FO" stand for or mean on my car stereo?

I have a 2002 Nissan Pathfinder, and for about a year now, my stereo has been displaying "CD ERROR FO" when I try to eject, insert or play a CD. I've mostly ignored it, but now it's getting on my nerves. I've also noticed it mostly happens when i'm on rough or bumpy roads and I'm assuming that the CD is stuck or skips so the stereo doesn't respond on bumpy roads. I found a website to remove the stereo, but it costs $5 (much better compared to repair shops). So before I buy the removal instructions, I want to know what's exactly wrong with my stereo and why it displays that "CD ERROR FO" sign. Other than that, my radio and tape player works fine, it's just the CD player.

You say you have a cd player tape player and radio,so it sounds like you have a Double Din unit.
Well here are the instructions on how to get the radio out and it's free.
You will need to scroll almost to the bottom to get what you need.

As far as the ''CD ERROR" the cd player is probably bad, time to replace it.
