Is it safe to have a car seat in the back of a truck?
We drive a chevy extended cab. The one where its 4 doors but its a little smaller than the actual 4 door pickup. Weve had our infant car seat behind the passenger seat in the back but i always had to set in the back with him because i was huging the dash(due to the carseat handle being pushed forward for support) so we got a new carseat..and its bigger and will last him til about 60 pounds..It fits great in the middle, except it comes up a little into the front part of our seats..its sort of hard to explain. Doesnt move a single bit. And, i can set in the front seat again. BUT, what about the driver and passenger airbags? Heaven forbid, Can they hit the car seat since it peeks out in the middle a little bit?
what type of seats are you buying that are that bloody big? a baby car seat i can see stretching out, but a car seat that will hold up to 60 lbs should be an upright one, unless you are treating your toddler like an infant and found and economy size baby seat for him to stretch out in.
