i need help with special needs?
i look after a 20 year old with special needs one day a week and although i have been doing this for over 2 years i am struggling to find things to do with him
he cannot read or write so anything educational is pretty much out of the question and he does not have a lot of cash to spend on days out maybe £10 so theme parks and day trips to major cities are out of the question but he is physically able to do pretty much anything
i live in kent and have use of buses and a car so traveling 10/15 mile is ok to do
i have no idea what to do and its getting to the point where i cannot find any local support and i may have to give up this job
Everything visual should do the trick, some examples are:
1. Rent some good wholesome movies like Disney animation.
2. Feed the Birds with a feeder and watch the birds feed. Can you name the different species feeding?
3. Take him to Church with His familys blessing of course (Sunday School)
4. Plant a garden and discuss the many of a flower variations that you can plant and take care of.
5. Take him to public places where there are pretty girls to look at, Just maybe his future wife or caretaker will come into his life.
