Is it possible to rent a car in Amsterdam without a credit card?
For all Dutch and non Dutch out there:how can i rent a car without paying or showing a credit card?is it possible to pay by cash??-any ideas -information???best answer 5 stars...ps-it's an emergency
You don't want a car in Amsterdam, get a travel card (I forget the correct name for it) it allows you unlimited use of Bus, Train, Tube, Tram. You get a card for 24/48/72 hours, and they are cheap, easy.
Cars are useless, no parking, lots of one-way streets, narrow roads.
If you need to go outside of Amsterdam, like more than 10 miles from Central station, then maybe a car will help, but think how often you need to do this, and try to use the public transport, it's so much easier, and more fun. The travel cards are very cheap.
