Can I rent a car, IN CANADA, without a credit card?
I need to rent a car in Toronto next week, but I don't have a credit card and won't get one in time, are there ANY companies that will let you rent with a cash deposit or debit card? I am having trouble finding one, thanks.
I just phoned Enterprise and they said credit card only, I am pretty much ready to rip my hair out!
yup but the cash deposit is usually quite large. about $500 and you have to put that money down. you only get it back when you return the car. Same goes with a debit card, they will remove the money from your account and refund it when the car is returned. Enterprise will do this for you. I thought Discount would too but maybe they changed their rules now.
