Cars For Cash Ct

cars for cash ct
How do I add a loan/lien on a car if its already registered? CT?

I purchased a car in cash and had to register it so I could drive it to work because the temp. tags were going to expire. I know the person at the bank very well, so this was planned and she was aware of my purchase. However, now the bank is saying that I need to reregister the car in order for me to take out the loan. Can someone please provide me some guidance or list the steps on how to go about doing this? I would like to keep the cost at a minimum.

Whoever you bought the car from, should have given you a title. Then you fill out the title application for a new title, and list the bank on it as a lender.

So, if you filled out the first title application, and didn't list a lender, your dmv probably has a form to add a leinholder to the car, for a small fee. Call your DMV, or download the form from their website. If they don't do that form, you have to take the title that they issued to you in your name, and reapply for another title, on another title application form, with the lender listed.
