How do I drive a car I bought out of state back home?
I'm buying a car that's out of state.
I'm from Mass and the car is in New Hampshire.
I don't have the cash to get the thing registered and insured before I get the car, nor do I have the cash to R & I it after I've paid for it. Not for two more weeks at least.
I've never done this before so what's the LEGAL thing to do...
You have only two choices.....
1. Trailer the vehicle in to Massachusetts..
2. Pay the registration and insurance and drive it..
Massachusetts does not issue temp tags and they do not recognize them from other states...
If you are pulled over with temp tags your car can be impounded for not having a "valid" registration and insurance, if that happens then you are in a world of trouble.....
