Cars For Cash In Atlanta
December 21st, 2010 by admin

Can I make it from Florida to Georgia with a car that has over 100,000 miles on it?

I live in Central Florida and I want to go to Atlanta, Georgia next weekend. I am also on a budget (but just enough cash)- but I'll be staying with friends so I won't need cash for a hotel room or food b/c my friends cook (they offered). So, I want to drive up there b/c it's only 7-8 hours away from where I live. So my car has close to 110,000 miles on it but I got a new transmission. Is it safe to drive it up there and back? Or should I just rent a car? Is there any cheaper mode of transportation, like take the Greyhound or airplane? Btw, my car is a '98 Mazda.

As long as you have maintained the vehicle . There can at anytime be a problem with any vehicle. You need to have the oil, transmission fluid, coolant, air in tires, wipers, all checked out. You can do this all yourself or ask a friend to do it. Take a flashlight and cell phone with you. I always carry a set of jumper cables to. You can go by auto zone or advanced auto and have them check your battery. Make sure all your lights and signals work. 110,000 miles isnt anything on some vehicles. Good Luck.
