Documents and check list for buying a new car?
I am buying a new car at a dealership in California.I am paying all cash and not going for financing.
What are the documents that I need to show to the dealer ship?
What are the documents that I will need to sign at the dealership?
What should I look for (be cautious) at the dealership ?
How will I get the title, license plates?
What documentation / steps I will need to take after I finish the purchase?
Would appreciate experienced advise on this.Many thanks in advance.
Bring cash or bank money order and valid drivers license.
Just remember to negotiate hard because most of the car prices are for credit payments. You can get a smoking deal. Be willing to walk away if the price isn't negotiable. Most of the "Extra Fees" can be dropped. You have the ball in your court.
The dealer will take care of plates and initial registration.
They issue you a billl of sale and your paperwork shows up in the mail.
