My boyfriend & I are enrolled in these schools. How do you think our future will look?
I am enrolled in Western Career College, in the Vet Tech program, which I start on October 4th. And my boyfriend is enrolled in the Auto/Diesel program at UTI (Universal Technical Institute), he starts On June 21st. Both in Sacramento, CA. We will be moving over there next March. We are covered with financial aid and scholarships. Plus from my car accident 3 years ago we have extra cash for living expenses.
So what Im asking is if anyone went to those schools or knows anyone who went, what did they think?
Was it a good program?
Did the school treat you right? (We've been treated great so far.)
Did you find jobs after?
What is your favorite thing about the school?
And if you got hired in the position that you studied for, did you learn everything you needed to know for the job?
Did the school help you find a job?
And what do you think our future will look like?

Your future as a new vet tech employee with a "degree" from WSC may well consist of cleaning dog rear ends for minimum wage. "Western Career College" is a joke. It only recently was granted re-accreditation after a period of "warning status" and after settling lawsuits filed by dissatisfied ex-students.
Your boyfriend may do better with his auto/diesel program, but generally "career colleges" are overly expensive and the training is regarded by employers as superficial.
You are both making mistakes in attending these schools.
