What are some jobs for 13 year olds?
Hi, I'm 13 years old and I live in San Jose, CA. I was wondering if any of you could recommend a decent (paying) job. I know the obvious ones...walking dogs, paper route, mowing lawns and washing cars. But if anyone knows anything better or could tell me how to do these things successfully, please do. The reason I desperately need some cash is because my parents don't want to pay for a (my) phone bill. And I kinda' badly need to cell phone (all the decent plans are pretty expensive) so I wanna work as much as I can on the weekends, during summer and whenever I can as long as I don't have to wake up at 3 AM. I also heard of something about work permits you can get if you have good grades or something like that, can anyone explain how to get them? Thanks for any suggestions!

Hate to break it to you, but you won't even be considered able to get a job until you're at least 15. Just mow lawns and wait.
