Dodge Neon 2004 Transmission Went Out?
I bought this car used in 2007 with 67k miles on it for 7k. I paid cash. 3 years later (3 days ago) the transmission went out. Got it towed to a shop and I am quoted for $1600 to have my transmission rebuild. Should I just junk it & get another? or do you think it's worth spending $1600 to get it running again? Thanks for your input.
if its still in good shape other than the transmission going out id have it repaired you cant go out and buy a good vehicle for 1600 bucks these days and you already know this car real good,its up to you but 1600.00 is a lot cheaper than a car payment or junking it an buying another car,if it were mine id fix it and drive it a few more years you haven't drove your 7 k worth out of it yet,good luck.
