I wonder what it REALLY costs the taxpayer?
to buy a "clunker" the "advertised" amount is 4500 bucks but we all know that with any government program there are countless "hoops" that must be jumped through to get the government check.
I wonder how much money is spent after the purchase to pay the companies that dispose of the cars and the waste fluids etc...
I bet there are junkyards out there salivating over getting those cars on their property so they can gouge huge disposal costs out of the taxpayer.
Incredibly stupid program.
