Is there a law or ordinance in Iowa that state how many vehicles you can have on your property?
I have neighbors who are always towing in another non-running vehicle. They are up to 2 pickups and 4 cars and 4 motorcycles. They have place 3 of their motorcycles in the shed so those I can not do anything about. The city ordinance states that citizens are not allowed unlicensed vehicles, or vehicles that do not run. We know that 2 vehicles are not licensed and that 2 do not run. My husband and I filed a formal complaint with the city via a signed request that something be done as they are violating city ordinances. This complaint was also signed by 15 other people who live in the neighborhood and would like to see something done. The city wrote me a letter stating that the vehicles were not considered an eyesore and how dare I ask that they be removed from the property. My letter never asked for removal of the cars, only compliance with the town ordinances. I live in the state of Iowa and would like any help on what to do next or where to go from here. Thanks.
