in Austin,TX i have a question about vehicle minimum requirements?
i dont know how to ask this but i mean is there a rule on what cars you can drive in austin like in LA you cannot drive a junk car or something like a nissan 1995 model it has to be at least new or 2000 model and up. and in Austin are there many public transportation (public buses) that will take you pretty much anywhere you need to go? im moving to austin
i lived in austin for 30 years and i assure you there are plenty of buses to take you any place in the area. one reason is because there are four university's and one large community college within the city limits. [the college is almost as big as "tu"] when i left 5 years ago there was not an emission test on vehicles however a bad smoking car can, and will, be put out of service if spotted by the cops. you shouldn't have any problem with your car if its in "good" working order.
