Someone is using our address. How do we find out if they have used it officially?
We are original owners of our house, so we should never get mail to someone else here. We are getting mail adressed to three different people at our address now.
In the past it was just junk mail. But now we are getting registration notices for cars and creditors are sending notices for debts in very large amounts under these people's names.
Everyone I call gives me the run around. How can I find out if someone has used our address to get a driver's license? (The DL office said they could not search their data base with just our address.)
I live in Dallas, so ID theft is not a priority to the police. They will not do anything to help me. Please help me.
Notify the post office that these people don't live there. I would contact the postal inspectors also. Any piece of mail that you receive with someone else's name, mark on it in Red, DOES NOT LIVE HERE, Return To Sender, and give it back to the letter carrier.
