I drive a Ford Focus 2002 with 88k miles on it and do I need to power flush?
I bought this car used two years ago in Hawaii and shipped it to the mainland. I just drove two road trips over the past month. Salt Lake City to Las Vegas is about 800 miles round trip. I usually just go to a oil change chain shop versus changing the oil myself. I neglected to bring my car in about 1k overdue according to the sticker in my window shield because I have several life distractions, exams, holidays, my wedding, etc.
My car stopped working after smoke came through the vents and hood. The engine won't start and I am afraid I might need to sell this to the junk yard. Are there alternatives to save my car?
being overdue by 1 k on an oil change is nothing. smoke pouring out throgh vents and hood is not good. these were cheap throw away cars, if you never did a timing belt, I suspect something broke internally and the motor is gone. It probably needs 3 ot 4 thousand for a motor, you can buy a good running car for that. no powerflush in the world can fix this, has a mechanic looked at the car?
