2005 Saab 9-3 key reprogramming?
I have a 05 saab 9-3, i lost the key. What is the cheapest way to get a key made? if i get a key andcomputer from another car from a recycle/junk yard will that key work? or do i have to take it to dealer to reprogram it? If so does any one know who does that other then dealer in houston? All answers and info will be highly appreciated
You'll need a new CIM and a new transponder. Dealer only. Junk yard parts will not work since the Trionic and the CIM are encoded to each other. You are better off going to the dealer. The labor will be around 1.5 hours and the parts will cost about 300.00. Have them code you an extra transponder so that you have a spare.
