I need a transmission?
i have a dodge neon 2001. its manual. every time i go into fourth or fifth gear it pops back to neutral. and if i want to switch gears i will have to turn off the car put it into the desired gear and start it up again. i was told the problem was the synchronizer which is located in the gear box. i thought that was what i needed to replace but the mechanic told me i need a transmission. first of all is that right thing to fix my problem and where can i buy a transmission from. I live in the in the baltimore area in maryland. Weve been looking around for a transmission at junk yards and etc but is there a place i can go and get one for a reasonable price or somewhere online. Thanks
check glen burnie transmissions or check on rt 40 pulaski hwy near middle river road there are plenty of trans shops that would love to fix a manual trans considering they are easier to fix or swap.
