nissan 240 problem. please, nissan owners/previous owners and techs.?
i posted it that way cause 240's are different from many other cars, and i always get stupid answers from people who think their car is just the same. ok, when i crank it up, not every time, only when it had been driven and warm, and then parked for about an hour, it doesnt wanna crank again. and when it does, it will sit an idle at about 500rpms, and it feels like it is running on 2 cylinders. then for no apparent reason after a minnute it idles up like normal. i totally cleaned the breather compartment, and all the sensors in it. and it diddnt help. it also for some reason chokes out. when im on the gas, for no reason, it backs off, like it just topped out, but it's only at 4-5 thousand rpms. any idea? im tearing apart the throttle body thursday and cleaning it. and then the intake. i have replaced the rotor button and dist cap, plugs wires fuel filter. no engine light on or anything. i got a few ideas, but i wanted an experienced opinnion b4 i started. dumping cash into it.
Check to see if your timing adjustment came loose. I had the same problem on mine and that fixed it.
