Removal Of Stickers From Cars

Dealer Sticker On My Car- Removal?

My car has an old dealer sticker from when it was purchased in 1994. The sticker is a 2-D paper type but it is very hard (rough, from aging). Before i tried my own methods and possibly ruin my paint, i figured i would ask for suggestions. Some of the sticker has already pealed off from time but i haven't been able to do any pealing on my own.

So again i just need a cost effective way to remove that time-hard sticker from my paint without damage to my vehicle.

Thank you.

I've bought three cars in the past 3 years and each of them had different kinds of stickers. Get a spray bottle of Goo-Gone and an old rag. Soak the sticker with Goo-Gone and then put the rag over your fingernails and begin picking at it through the rag. This will prevent scratching the paint and will also pull up corners as well as a razor or plastic scraper would. Re-apply the Goo-Gone regularly while doing this. It takes about 15 minutes to fully remove the sticker. In the future, I think I'm going to request that the dealer remove it since they put it on (it's not like they're paying me for advertising space).
