car batteries scrap??????
OK so iv got some car batteries and i want to weigh them in for scrap would i get more for them if i smashed them open and got the lead out or just weighed them in as a batterie and how much would i get per batterie. thanks
In the US I get $3 per battery. Don't break them open. Battery acid is pain to deal with. Most of the lead is in a lead oxide form so you can't just melt it. Lead oxide dust is the most dangerous to your health. Leave it to the pro's to recover the lead.
