If you have two cars that are scrap parts, can you combine them and use the VIN# from one car?
If you have two cars and one was messed up so you put the engine and transmission into the other , and the other one is just a body with a vin # , can you just take the vin # off of that car and explain to the DMV that you want to non op one and use the vin from the other even though it doesn't look like the same body as the one car? or how does this work?

yes as long as you build the car you have the title for . you can't pull the vin plate off and put it on the other car...
