I gutted my car and want to sell the steel car frame as scrap metal. Where do I find someone who will buy it ?
A tree fell on my car in July. I couldn't get insurance money so I sold the car parts. I'm left with the car frame and would like to sell the steel as scrap metal instead of putting it out on the curb with the recycles. I'm in the process of cutting it up into manageable pieces so I can transport it, but I do not know where to look to find someone who'll buy the scrap steel. I already looked on Google, but couldn't find any leads. Any suggestions ?
I called 1 salvage scrap metal recycling place and they said that they don't take that kind of scrap unless I had at least a couple tons. I think I only have about a ton or so.
Try junkyard or salvage yards they'll pay then get someone to pay more than what they paid for it.
