Have they scrapped any street racers cars yet?
The new street racing law in Ontario, Canada gives the authorities the right to seize these cars and crush them if they can't be brought back to road legal condition.
Is this a fair law?
Have they actually crushed anyone's car yet?
What if the owner of the car still owes a lending institution for the car? What would the banks do if the Government crushed their property? And what if the car is a leased vehicle?
I think some responders misinterpretted the question. I haven't streetraced since 1970 and I do not live in Ontario. And I support this law 100%.
you 'still have to pay the bank for it?...that's like asking what if it gets totaled in a wreck while street racing?...you still owe the bank
it is a form of punishment for illegal activity...it doesn't have to be fair...don't do the crime if you can't do the time....the cops are not playing a game
