Car repair procedure?
My daughter had a prang with a lamp post the damage to the car is dent in boot and bumper .The insurance company want to write it off can anyone tell me the procedure if we want to repair our self with parts from scrap yard ? .Or if scrapping do you accept first offer from insurance company ?
ask for a settlement figure and say you would like to keep the salvage , in the past i took what price was offered as i felt it a fair price{ like above say is there any hidden damage?. and would it be a better idea to put the money towards a new car , and do you want the hassle of getting parts and doing the job your self, bearing in mind that the insurance company can put it on a register of category write off,s then of course will you be able to sell the car when the time come,s
