If you've written off a UK car in France, how do you obtain the certificate so you can scrap it?
I had a little mishap in my car and it's a write off. It's been towed to the garage and they are saying the need a certificate or form (normally obtained from the police or the mairie, I think) which allows them to scrap it. Anyone have any idea how I can obtain this for my British registered car?
p.s. third party insurance 
Your insurance company is responsible for the disposal of the vehicle if its a write off, give them as bell to surrender the v5 log book and see what you need to do next.
