Has anyone ever had bad experience with the DVLA and the enforcement agency?
Especially when registering a car as off road because it has been scrapped? My partner has been fined for not chasing the DVLA about a logbook he sent in.
The DVLA are renowned for being inefficient and officious.
If the car was scrapped and all the correct paperwork was sent then why would you have to chase the DVLA?
You do not register the car as being off-road when scrapped - that is a different thing (SORN).
When scrapping the scrapyard should be sending the correct paperwork as you would have transferred the car to them.
Tell them who you used to scrap it and let them deal with them.
