buy scrap cars very cheap for project?
where can i buy scarp cars or look at them online for a project i am looking for a VW beetle to modify into a Dune buggy its a small project and thought it would be perfect since the engine is situated in the back of the car.
also i live in the UK so any online sites or scrap yards close to Manchester to buy these from
and 2 years ago i could have bought one that needed alot of work for £60 dam i missed out
Air cooled beetles are increasingly rare as they went out of production in Germany in the late 1970's. Production in other countries like Brazil and Mexico continued for a few more years, but I'm not sure whether any of these made it back to Europe or the UK. Complete running models are becoming collector's items, and scrap yards have sent them to the crusher long ago. You may want to rethink your project with another car as the foundation.
