If i change the brain, ignition barrel and key from another ka to my own, will it work?
Ive lost all keys to my ford Ka.
I was told to go to a scrap yard and get an ignition barrel and key, and then told that my car would also have to have the brain changed in order for the new ignition barrel to work..
How big of a job is it for someone to change the brain of a ford Ka? And also, how do they go about doing it?
If there is anyway i can get my car going without spending the £300+ quoted from the ford garage, please let me know.. 
Ka has an immobilser fitted so changing the ignition, and brain wont work. A new set of keys, and getting them programmed to your car will cost around £150 from a ford garage
