You will need planning permission, preferably land outside of a town and off the main roads, and enough big sheds to store the dismantled parts and somehow not be an eyesore. And an office where you can keep a full list of your stock, to be able to locate and find any part you have available at a moment's notice. Any of the car breakers I have bought parts from didn't appear to have much specialised equipment - just the same you would see in any garage doing repairs.
