Do you think the UK government is wrong to offer incentives for scrapping old cars?
I'm not sure if this has gone through or not. I've just bought a classic car and it makes me sad to think people will scrap perfectly good cars because of a government cash incentive. They say this is to promote new, greener, more energy efficient vehicles. Have they not considered the environmental damage caused by manufacturing new vehicles? Not to mention encouraging people to spend more than they can afford on a new car.
I'm most concerned that we'll be losing the classics of the future.
My car is 10 years old but i will not be scraping it.Being on just above minimum wage i still cant afford it unless i put my self in debt.And in these times when you don't know if your going to have a job next week no thank you
