what should i compare organells in a cell to?
here's an example:
A Factory That Produce Widgets
mitochondria: hydraulic dam
ribosomes: small shops
nucleus: town hall
er: special carts
golgi: postal office
protein: widget
cell membrane: fence
lysosomes: scrap yard
nucleolus: carpenter's union
i need something like that, except different analogies. ideas?

I would go with an airport. amino acids = people, DNA = ticket database, cytoplasmic pores = security, Ribosome = waiting area, airplanes = finished protein, ER = runway etc...
