Can i sell a vehicle to a wrecking yard without current registration in California?
I have a vehicle that won't pass smog and the registration has lapsed. The car's not worth the cost of repairs / registration so i'm thinking about taking it to an auto wrecker (like pick'n'pull) and selling it for whatever they'll give me. Do i have to scrap the title or make the registration current first? Can i just show up at the wrecker with the auto and the title? What's my best bet?
Drive it, pull it, push it. Just have a title.
