unpaid parking tickets.. i have 3 unpaid parking tickets (my bad) with final notice.
i have since sold the car and got a new one,, can my new car get clamped due to the unpaid fines??? or do the fines stay with me as a debt?
tickets where issued by an ncp traffic attendant and not police warden in belfast

The fine stays in your name when you sell the car. Eventually, if it is still unpaid, they will pass it on to debt collectors. The debt collectors will add their fee on, then write to you asking for payment. If you ignore the letter, they add a bigger fee on for a visit and send the heavy mob to your house. The agents that visit you are good at getting results and use all sorts of tactics to get their money. If it is still unpaid, they can get a court order to enter your property and sieze goods. Every time they have to visit, the debt goes up as they add their fee on for each visit, so it is better to pay sooner rather than later.
It isn't going to go away if you ignore it.
