My daughter took her 2002 Sunfire Pontiac to the dealership in Greensboro, NC and was told the engine is gone?
It will cost her $5400 to replace the engine because the car is computerized. Is there anything that she can do with the parts in the car as far as selling them to the dealership? Have a company that collect cars that are g from the dealership and pay her a small stipend?
She just does not want to leave it at the dealership for disposal when she can get a little bit of money out of the car.
Please advise asap. Thank you for your help.
I'd tow it to a shop that can find a used motor and have them give you a quote. I'm guessing $600 for the motor and another $450 to install it.
