How can I tell what year a car is made?
I stop by a dealarship in Jacksonville FL and I was looking at a 2008-09 chevy malibu. The salesman tried so hard to sell a "2008" malibu to me and insisted that it was an 2008 model but from my research and previous test drives, I know that the 2008 model has been completely redesigned, the car that the salesman was showing me looked like an 07 model for sure.......the differences are so obvious......he even went as far as telling me that the other salesmen have been showing me the 2009 model and I have been misinformed......then when he realized that I did some research on this car and he just got caught in a lie, he resorted to asking me out on a date....what a loser!!!!! How can I determine the exact model year of a car without having to take the salesmen's word for it?
it is on your VIN number. dash board, inside. left side.
it is on your registration.
the squence will have the date, 07, 08.
and if you need an impartial person to check the date, go to your insurance agent's office, they can tell you in 2 minutes and will not hit on you for a date.
